The advantage of active crossovers is obvious : 1. Variable attitude of the crossover frequencies with large edge steepness 2. The signals are always in phase 3. Stepless volume attitude of the individual systems 4. No passive units in the loudspeaker line
The following disadvantages face these advantages : 1. Technical circuiting expenditure 2. A second amplifier is needed
