AC - 2B : For BassHorns: Description

The FSAC-2B was the first driver to succeed in the search for a true full-range loudspeaker.

This was made possible by the ‘underhung coil’, a completely innovative magnetic system in which the voice coil always remains in a homogeneous magnetic field. In addition a very powerful neodymium magnet, whose reserves are never exhausted, has been incorporated.

The result is rich, dry basses in the backloaded horn, along with a crystal-clear treble reproduction. On top of these, the FSAC-2B radiates the kind of pleasing softness you would expect from a full-range.

This loudspeaker is the best full-range horn driver for designs such as Hedlund, Jericho, Medaillon, Carfrae, Mauhorn, Big Fun and Audiovector. The subwoofers needed previously can now be dispensed with.

buon giorno,
I receive yesterday evening your drivers, and I fit them on Hedlund horn instead of DX4. For the first test I put on my turn table Mozart requiem LP from Deutsch Grammophon director Herber vcn Karajan ( this is my respect to the drivers!)..sound become "there are no words..:" bass clean and deep, excellent presence, the sound is reach and transparent in all frequency, the scene come up...the dynamic sound increase.

I will do my best to suggest to any person I will keep in touch to buy your drivers or speakers. DX4 will be eliminate immediately.
Now I don't know if my amplifiers will be good enough to be compared to your drivers!

2 weeks of listening, with a burning in period of 168 hours (amplifier and tuner without antenna). During this period we changed the speakers two times Lo*** versus FS in Delphic enclosure, with audion mk II integrated amplifier.

No doubt the ac2b outperforms the ex4 (and this in a Lo*** enclosure!) Indeed, as you mention on your website shout and all sharpness is removed, this is immediately audible.

The music sounds easy, relaxed and at the same time with such an involvement and in a better balance than the ex4. You can listen, listen and listen without any fatigue. There is a clear and clean sound with a deeper punchy bass.

Detail is for both speakers very good, perhaps a bit better than the ex4. Even Marc’s wife was convinced of the performance of the ac2b. If this can help you, feel free to use this mail to inform others of the quality of your speaker when they’ll ask.
